Police officer rescues a donkey from a busy highway and safely transports it in his patrol car

One day, while driving to work, Robin Strader saw something unusual.

A donkey was walking along the highway in Norman, Oklahoma. Robin wasn’t sure what to do at first, but she knew she had to help.

She called the police, and Officer Kyle Canaan from the Norman Police Department responded. Before he arrived, Robin managed to move the donkey out of the way.

When Kyle got there, he wasn’t sure what to do with the donkey either. Soon, Robin decided she wanted to take the donkey home, and she named him Squishy.

The only problem was how to get Squishy to her house. It would have taken too long to wait for a transport vehicle.

So, Officer Kyle took matters into his own hands and put the donkey in his patrol car.

As the police department mentioned, officers often encounter strange situations on the road. This one was certainly unique.

Kyle later joked that everything went smoothly, except for the donkey’s little “accident” in the back seat. But overall, everything turned out well. The donkey was safe, and Kyle handled the situation like a pro.
