A kind man helped a baby moose get back to its mother after it got stuck by a fence. This took place in Anchorage, Alaska.
Joe Tate was out fishing when he saw a crowd gathered along the highway. At first, he wasn’t sure why, but then he noticed a baby moose struggling to get across the road. The young moose had trouble because of a fence blocking its path. The mother moose had already crossed, but the baby couldn’t manage it.

After about 30 minutes of watching, Joe decided to step in. He helped the exhausted baby moose over the fence so it could be reunited with its waiting mother.

Joe told KTUU that the baby moose seemed very young and tired. While he wasn’t an expert in animal rescue, he knew enough to help and did his best.

Luckily, the situation had a happy ending. However, Joe’s actions could have been dangerous for both him and the animal. Having served in the army for over 15 years, Joe felt a strong urge to help.

Dave Battle, a biologist with Alaska Fish and Game, said that although this rescue worked out, it’s safer to call professionals for these types of situations.

Andrea Bock, who witnessed the rescue, filmed it and shared the video on social media, where people praised Joe’s kindness. For more details, you can check Andrea Bock’s social media.
