An elephant named Moyo got stuck while trying to cross a river, and she was completely helpless. Luckily, a group of rangers came to her rescue just in time, as a pack of hyenas had surrounded her.
Moyo was taken to the “Wild Is Life” shelter, run by Roxy Danckwerts, who is now her new mom.
At one year and two months old, Moyo has grown very close to Roxy, always following her around. Roxy shared that Moyo recognizes her scent and voice, which helps the elephant find her no matter where she is.
However, living with Moyo isn’t always easy, as the playful elephant tends to get into trouble and create a mess around the house.
Although Roxy has developed a strong bond with Moyo, she knows it’s important for Moyo to have space to grow and become more independent.
When Moyo was found, she was alone because her herd had left her behind. Thanks to the quick actions of the rangers, she was brought to safety.
Moyo is still learning about the world around her, and she’s full of energy and curiosity. She often tries to grab anything in sight, even attempting to eat silverware! Despite being older now, she is still figuring out her strength and how to use it.
Moyo’s journey is a heartwarming one, and you can learn more about her life at the “Wild Is Life” sanctuary. Enjoy the video!
