Cold weather can be dangerous for everyone, even animals.
One snowy day, a farmer came across an animal that was in serious trouble from the cold.
Dean Gangwer owns a farm in Rossville, Indiana, where he cares for many animals. One day, he discovered that a cow on his farm had unexpectedly given birth without him noticing.
The baby calf was outside in the snow and was freezing. It could barely breathe, and its eyes were completely shut.
Dean quickly realized that he needed to act fast to save the calf. He rushed home to his hot tub, hoping it would help.
Speaking to WRTV, Dean explained how he carried out his plan. Fully dressed, he got into the hot tub and carefully held the calf, making sure it didn’t drown. They stayed in the warm water for about an hour.
After warming the calf, Dean wrapped it up in blankets to keep it cozy. The calf, now named Leroy, soon regained strength and was ready to go back to the farm.
