Emmeline Austin, an American visitor, was at the Franklin Zoo in Boston when she got to witness just how loving and attentive gorillas can be.
She quickly saw the truth for herself, rather than just hearing stories about it.
While at the zoo, Emmeline was taking care of her son, Canyon, and looking at the gorillas. She moved closer to the glass to get a better view.
Although her son fell asleep and she didn’t see much at first, something incredible happened next.
A young gorilla came up to the glass and seemed very curious about the baby. She carefully studied him and even acted as if she was gently petting his head through the glass.
It turned out the gorilla was named Kiki, and she had just become a mother herself, with a baby named Pablo.
No one, including Emmeline, expected such a touching moment. It was a special display of love and care that doesn’t happen every day.
The heartwarming interaction between the gorilla mother and the human mother was rare and soon went viral online, where it received millions of views.
