A dog that passed away 100 years ago is still being given stick gifts at his memorial

Not many people receive gifts long after they’ve passed away, but that’s the case for a dog named Rex.

Rex belonged to a man named John Snow, and even after 100 years, people in the area still remember and honor the dog. Rex was incredibly loyal to his owner, and they were always together, even in death. They are both buried side by side at Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn.

The local community created a special headstone for Rex, showing how much they cared for him.

When a photo of Rex’s grave was shared online, people became curious about why people were still leaving sticks there. A local resident explained that it was a tradition for a special dog, whose story was passed down by older generations.

Dog owners who have lost their own pets also visit Rex’s grave, hoping that he will look after their beloved companions.
